Traditional Asian bamboo steamer - a great way of cooking food,sealing in nutrients and using no fats or oils. Constructed of a circular bamboo frame, each tier has a slotted bottom which allows steam through each tier to steam your food to perfection! The domed lid and slotted base work together to keep steam trapped and free flowing within the steamer. The bamboo absorbs excess moisture and retains the heat. Designed to fit neatly into a wok. Either place the food directly on the slats or over lettuce leaves placed into the steamer or parchment paper - this helps prevent food sticking and helps stop the bamboo from absorbing flavours.
