A Kugelhopf is a Southern German, Austrian, Swiss and Alsatian term for a type of cake. A common Kugelhopf consists of a soft yeast dough and contains raisins, almonds and kirschwasser cherry brandy, some also contain candied fruit and nuts - just perfect for a Christmas treat! Legend has it that Marie Antoinette, who was born in Vienna, bought the cake recipe to France upon her marriage to Louis XVl. This beautiful tin can also be used for delicious bundt cakes such as the lemon yoghurt cake featured in our recipe selection.
